From track to sky — flying with SIMRIG motion | Naga Racing

by Sebastian Djerf

SIMRIG systems are engineered for racing. But when telemetry is translated into motion, the platform can extend beyond motorsport.

In this test by Naga Racing, flight controls are installed and Microsoft Flight Simulator is launched using an existing SIMRIG SR3 system.

With adjusted settings — a softer motion profile and increased actuator travel — the platform delivers:

  • Clear pitch sensation on takeoff
  • Defined banking feedback
  • Distinct touchdown response
  • Subtle turbulence translation

Combined with VR and motion compensation, the experience gains physical depth.

SIMRIG is not a dedicated flight platform. But the structural foundation and motion control philosophy remain adaptable.

From track to sky, the principle remains:

IMMERSION THROUGH MOTION.
