Naga tests whether the SIMRIG Belt Module can trick your brain

1 October 2026 · by Sebastian Djerf · Review

Can the SIMRIG Belt Module trick your brain?

Can a harness tensioner actually make your brain believe you are experiencing forces that do not exist?

That is the question Naga sets out to answer in his first test of the SIMRIG Belt Module.

Rather than simply reviewing the hardware, he approaches the test as an experiment.

First, he looks at what the Belt Module can communicate on its own. Braking, cornering, bumps and the independent left and right shoulder feedback are tested separately to understand exactly what the harness is adding to the experience.

Then he takes things further.

What happens when the constant pressure from the harness is combined with the movement of a SIMRIG motion system? Can the two different types of feedback work together to make braking and cornering feel more convincing?

And for the final experiment, he adds one more element: VR.

With the simulator moving, the harness reacting to telemetry and the physical garage around him replaced by the inside of the car, Naga tries to find out just how far the illusion can be pushed.

Watch the full video to see all three experiments and Naga's conclusion.
